Tea Party in Sansar

A few days ago, while I saw Atlas of Sansar, I found Tea Party (WIP). Atlas is the search engine of destinations in Sansar, as well as SL Destinations.

It’s an experience (=sim) created by Avery McAlistor, and I suggest to visit it for the particular mood in which the visitor enters walking through its paths.

Avery didn’t use all the space for the creation of her Tea Party: walking along the boundaries of the building, you realize that there is unused space. It’s not a bad thing, on the contrary. The crucial aspect I think is to use the area well and not how much space you use for your creations.
Tea Party is a hymn to tranquillity, to the return to oneself. At the same time, it suggests cheerfulness and good feelings.

Paths made with wooden trunks that lead the visitor to romantic and secluded places, sumptuous tables in style, but set frugally.
The visitor finds himself immersed in a relaxing context for the eyes and mind while walking along paths decorated with candles placed inside candle holders that give life to beautiful light reflections.

The light in Sansar is for sure, the high strength: the reflections, the ambient brightness, the light settings of the overall environment are realistic in a way that seems incredible.
It is impossible to remain indifferent to fireflies that move around their avatar, and that gives a luxurious and refined environment at the same time.
The reflections of light (such as those on the tables) are a spectacle for the eyes and the mind.

Some objects are interactive: you can see their interactivity by merely observing what happens if you hover your mouse over them. If they light up, click with the left mouse button to take them. Another left-click, and they end up on the ground (they don’t return to their place as in SL or, at least, not immediately).
I think this choice is intended to make the Virtual Reality experience more realistic.

Returning to Tea Party, in the experience, there is a treehouse with branches supporting it in the shape of chicken’s foot. There’s a ladder to climb up, but you can’t access it like in SL by merely walking up the ladder.
To climb, you have to jump and walk at the same time. Then use the space bar to jump + the forward arrow (or the W key). In this way, you will be able to appreciate the house also from the inside.

Come sempre, tutti i riferimenti in fondo all’articolo.
